Responsibilities
Training and Development
• Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees.
• Plan, organize, and direct a wide range of training activities.
• Conduct orientation sessions and arrange training for new employees.
• Help rank-and-file workers maintain and improve their job skills, and possibly prepare for jobs requiring greater skill.
• Help supervisors improve their interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively with employees. Plans to strengthen an employee's existing skills or teach new ones.
• Lead programs to assist employees with transitions due to mergers and acquisitions, as well as technological changes.
• Consulting with other managers to identify training needs
• Drawing up an overall training plan
• Managing a training budget
• Producing materials for in-house training
• Working with training providers to develop suitable course content
• Evaluating the success of both individual training and the overall program
• Managing regular staff appraisals and reviews and making sure staff have opportunities for ongoing development
• Oversee the Organizational Development & Training function and develop employee training programs.
Recruitment
• Management support - you will provide professional support and advice on recruitment to line and departmental managers, and advice managers on best practice recruitment and selection.
• Advertising - you'll prepare job descriptions and personnel specifications. May work on more creative solutions to recruitment
• Selection - you will screen application forms, shortlist applicants, devise and implement selection processes, conduct interviews, psychometric tests and personality questionnaires and various group activities.
• Training - you'll train staff in interviewing techniques, help to relocate staff to new departments and jobs due to restructuring.
• Developing HR planning strategies with line managers by considering immediate and long-term staff requirements
• Recruiting staff by preparing job descriptions and job adverts; deciding on how best to advertise
• Shortlisting applicants for interview using a variety of selection techniques including psychometric testing
• Advising on pay and other issues, including promotion and benefits; administer payroll and maintain staff records
• Interpreting and advising on employment legislation; develop and implement policies on a variety of workplace issues e.g disciplinary procedures, absence management, working conditions, performance management and equal opportunities
• Listening to grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
• Analyzing training needs in conjunction with line managers; planning and delivering training, including staff inductions.
• Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations
• Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations
• Maintain all personnel files, 201 records, background investigation results, and other personnel records, and ensure the team is in compliance with all laws and regulations and demonstrates “best practices” in regard to personnel information management
• Provide leadership in effective conflict resolution for all personnel
• Serve as a resource for team leaders in handling employee issues and assist them in counseling employees, conducting evaluations, staff training, problem- solving and consensus-building
• Maintain inter- and intradepartmental work flow by providing information to and cooperating with co-workers.
• Assist in hiring by providing job descriptions and advertisements, and in the case of hiring of senior team leaders, by screening and interviewing candidates.
• Develop, implement and participate in employee recognition programs
• Enhance job performance by applying up-to-date professional and technical knowledge gained by attending seminars and conferences and reviewing professional publications.

Requirements
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Social Science/Sociology, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Human Resource Management, Psychology or equivalent.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, committed, optimistic and result-driven
• Preferably with at least 3 years supervisory experience specializing in
Human Resource Facets
• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Mass communications or equivalent. Master’s degree is not a requirement but an advantage.
